Around the world! Chanel A/W 2013-2014

It's officially the most awaited show in Paris Fashion Week! And Kaiser Karl knows that and did his best. He made once again a remarkable scene with a massive, illuminated  earth in the centre of Grand Palais. Tweed black, blue, grey and red jackets in simple shapes, long wool dresses, accompanied with high leather socks, chains and different versions of ''Boy Chanel'' bags, completed the collection. Highlight: the marvelus globe-bag of course!

Chanel: Paris-Edimbourg Metiers d'Art pre-fall 2013-14

Freezing but stylish! It would be the perfect alternative title for the Chanel pre-fall show which took place on 4 of December. Every year, Chanel travels around the world and this time the stop was in Edinbourgh of Scotland. Linthigow Castle,the birthplace of Queen Mary of Scots, which is in west Edinbourgh, was the perfect place for Karl Lagerfeld to present his collection. The main theme was of course the scotish pattern, in romantic, sophisticated and most of all warm looks! Karl dressed his models with long cardigans, wool skirts, dresses and scarves in shades of black, green, red and bordeaux. There were also white shirts with pins, gowns and bags-flasks! The best way to face the cold!

The Little Black Jacket

As his inspiration and creativity is endless, Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel, in association with Karine Roitfeld, launched ''The little black jacket'' project with a book about the iconic and legendary tweed black jacket. More than 100 singers, actors, models and fashion experts, such as Kanye West, Sarah Jessica Parker, Uma Thurman, Yoko Ono, Milla Yokovich, Anna Wintour and many more, were photographed by Karl Lagerfeld and styled by Karine Roitfeld, wearing one of the most famous symbols of femininity and elegance, each one with their signature style.“The Chanel jacket has become the symbol of a certain elegance, feminine, with an air of nonchalance, classic and timeless, that is of all times,” said Karl Lagerfeld in Paris after the photo shoot of the book.  Available in bookstores from Fall 2012, the book will accompany the opening of an exhibition dedicated to it, which will run from March 24th until April 15th 2012 in Tokyo.
